Safe Train Control Applications
duagon SAFE CONTROL is a general purpose platform for safe train and wayside functions based on standard technologies – and as such open to the features and requirements of the final application. Several packages and services around d-SC help the customer to save costs and speed up time-to-market.

Certified functional safety
Product architecture: duagon SAFE CONTROL (d-SC) controller (with safe CPU) and safe I/O
Modularity in I/O configuration
Software architecture: separate domains for safe and non-safe software applications
Real-time Ethernet communication: Safe communication via FSoE
Process data application framework (PACY) – makes hardware transparent for the application
High availability software layer to enable customer applications with two redundant d-SC controllers
Application Examples
Used for redundant onboard vehicle controllers, wayside zone controllers, next-generation level-crossings, automated people movers, and high-availability systems with decentralized I/O and modular software

The Application
- Redundant onboard vehicle controller inside the train, and a zone controller wayside
- Sends critical vehicle information, and receives movement authority limits
The Electronics
- Based on standard product d-SC Controller MH50C
- SIL 4 Certification pack for F75P and I/O
Software
- PACY I/O framework
- Further packages: EXCH, SYNC
- OS: Linux Yocto for Non-Safe CPU, QNX for Safe CPU

The Application
- Central controller for next generation level-crossings
- Connected to all components of the level-crossing, including signals, track circuits, etc.
The Electronics
Software
- PACY I/O framework
- Further packages: EXCH, SYNC
- OS: Linux Yocto for Non-Safe CPU, QNX for Safe CPU

The Application
