WTB to MVB Gateway
The D521 is a WTB to MVB Gateway compliant with IEC 61375 and UIC Leaflet 556. The gateway has two WTB medium attachment units for redundant communication lines. Line A and B interfaces are galvanically isolated, enabling cable redundancy, and use standard 9-pin D-Sub connectors. The WTB gateway has a built-in fritting mechanism to overcome contact oxidation. The integrated WTB controller, realized on FPGA with duagon IP, can be configured to act as a strong or weak master or as a slave.
Server Application
The gateway comes with a Mapping Server Application that adheres to UIC 556 standards. This application manages message data communication and process data marshaling between the WTB and MVB consist network. Safe data transmission is available on request. A complete configuration and integration tool chain is supplied, including a configuration tool that makes it simple to configure the application and effortlessly integrate the gateway into any network architecture.
MVB Controller
duagon's proprietary MVB controller supports the full 4096 process data ports. The train consist network interface complies with the TCN standard IEC 61375 up to class 4.
I/O Channels
The D521 offers 8 digital inputs and 8 combined input/output channels. The I/O channels are used by the application to implement battery voltage monitoring, redundancy switchover and a "wake-up" signal. Unused I/O channels can be mapped onto the vehicle bus, to make them available as additional I/O channels on the bus.
USB and Service Interfaces
The USB interface can be used to store vehicle-specific information. The vehicle's individual configuration can therefore be attached to the vehicle itself by means of an appropriate USB dongle. The service interfaces accessible via Ethernet offer quick access to diagnostic information and all recorded data.
Fully Rail Compliant
The WTB gateway is connected directly to the train battery and supports all voltage types from 24 to 110 V DC. Moreover, it has a built-in power save mode. The D521 is designed for harsh rolling stock environments and is fully compliant with EN 50155.
